Job Description

Material Planning (Buyer) Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for raw material replenishment, maintaining supply visibility for at least 3 months.

  • Confirm delivery from suppliers for all purchase orders.

  • Expedite material deliveries to support production and customer orders.

  • Manage bottlenecks and allocation for materials in critical shortage.

  • Ensure master data integrity in SAP and add*ONE system to enable automatic MRP planning; maintain relevant Purchasing/Vendor master data.

  • Manage material auto-replenishment within warehouses via mini macro & min-max settings.

  • Monitor supplier delivery performance (SSL3) and define improvement measures.

  • Manage material phase-in/out due to engineering changes, product end-of-life, etc., and adjust planning accordingly.

  • Handle special procurement activities like Last Time Buy, purchases below MOQ, and risk purchases during vendor changes.

  • Review supplier capacity regularly and escalate constraints to Purchasing for resolution.

  • Manage safety stock levels to support business fluctuations.

  • Control raw materials inventory according to TCT targets and reschedule orders based on forecast changes.

  • Manage excess and obsolete stock, analyze coverage, and optimize stock levels.

  • Coordinate RTV processes for logistics issues and liaise with PUQ & PQE for replacements due to technical issues.

Production Planning Responsibilities:

  • Develop rough production plans (RPP) for up to 24 months.

  • Level production loading according to BPS requirements.

  • Convert, release, and schedule production orders based on leveling patterns.

  • Ensure data integrity in production and planning systems to support accurate MRP runs.

  • Align production capacity regularly with manufacturing teams.

  • Monitor production output, sub-assembly progress, and customer order fulfillment.

  • Drive production to meet targets and optimize SKU and sub-assembly mixes, reducing backlog.

LPV Responsibilities:

  • Support NPI, new launches, and ALRs as part of the logistics team.

  • Assist with samples and pilot runs.

  • Participate actively in project meetings, collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely SOPs.
  • Update production and delivery statuses during product launches.

  • Coordinate material orders to meet lead times and execute risk orders as needed.

  • Work with project buyers to ensure material readiness for ramp-up plans.

  • Analyze feasibility and communicate restrictions to meet ramp-up schedules.

  • Maintain MM and release pronovia timely for automatic MRP planning.

  • Coordinate new material packaging and lot sizes for kanban before SOP.

Supporting Role:

  • Contribute to BPS, supplier flexibility, system/process improvements, and manufacturing line flexibility.

  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications

Qualification & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in material planning, production planning, or procurement (buyer); experience in order management/demand planning is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, especially with overseas suppliers (China).
