Analyst Programmer – Data Scientist

Location: Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

LPS is a leading E2E solution provider, company partner dedicated to unlocking IT systems across regions.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team in Malaysia.

By joining LPS Technology, you'll help create a smooth and seamless experience for customers interacting with LPS, while also enhancing their independence.

Your mission will be to enhance these interactions through ongoing improvements and updates to our technology.

You Will

  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to design and build AI-driven applications and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency.

  • Support the development and integration of Generative AI capabilities using Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.

  • Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications or system components involving AI/ML models, APIs, and data pipelines.

  • Integrate AI features (e.g. chatbots, document understanding, summarization, or vision analytics) into internal tools and systems.

  • Manage and integrate REST APIs to connect analytics services, LLM backends, and external systems securely and efficiently.

  • Support the deployment and monitoring of AI models using DevOps/MLOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow, and deploy to AWS or edge environments.

  • Translate business or user requirements into technical specifications and system designs.

  • Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies in AI/ML, LLMs, and cloud‑native applications to production use cases.

You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, statistics, or a related discipline.

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in data science, with at least 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or backend data workflows.

  • Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit‑leaf) and SQL.

  • Strong grasp of machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.

  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), especially cloud‑based data services.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes).

  • Exposure to modern data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, etc.

  • Knowledge of data pipelines, SQL, and data processing frameworks is a plus.
