 We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and accessibility of our cutting-edge web application built with Next.js .
 NOTE:  You must have working rights in Malaysia; we are not able to sponsor an Employment Pass at this stage.
 Responsibilities 
  - Design, develop, and maintain a robust and scalable end-to-end (E2E) automation test suite using Playwright.
 
 
- Write and execute automated and manual test cases (functional, regression, integration, and ad-hoc) to identify bugs and ensure software quality.
 
 
- Lead accessibility testing, ensuring our product meets WCAG standards, including hands‑on testing with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and automated a11y tools.
 
 
- Perform thorough exploratory and manual testing to uncover issues that automation may miss, focusing on usability and user experience.
 
 
- Plan and execute basic performance and load tests to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure the application remains responsive under load.
 
 
- Work closely with developers to test components within our design system, ensuring visual consistency, functionality, and accessibility.
 
 
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements, reproduce bugs, and advocate for quality throughout the SDLC.
 
 
- Document, track, and verify bugs in our issue tracking system (e.g., JIRA), providing detailed steps for reproduction.
 
 
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to provide fast feedback to the development team.
 
 
Requirements 
  - Proven experience as a QA Tester or QA Engineer with a strong focus on test automation.
 
 
- Hands‑on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks with Playwright.
 
 
- Strong foundation in manual testing principles, test case design, and exploratory testing techniques.
 
 
- In‑depth knowledge of web accessibility (a11y) principles and WCAG guidelines.
 
 
- Demonstrable experience performing manual accessibility audits using screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).
 
 
- Solid understanding of modern web technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
 
 
- Experience testing applications built with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte); React is highly preferred.
 
 
- Proficiency with browser developer tools, Git, and bug‑tracking software (e.g., JIRA).
 
 
- Analytical mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
 
 
Preferred/Bonus Skills 
  - Experience testing Next.js applications and understanding its concepts (SSR, SSG).
 
 
- Experience testing component libraries or working within a design system environment.
 
 
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, Lighthouse).
 
 
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
 
 
- Knowledge of API testing tools and techniques (Postman, Playwright API tests).
 
 
- Relevant certifications in QA (ISTQB) or accessibility (CPACC, WAS).
