As an AI Architect within our Data & AI Practice, you’ll leverage a client-centric approach to translate our client’s business strategy into solutions and services that lead to successful, impactful outcomes.

You’ll engage in solutioning and support on the most strategic opportunities, intervene in high-risk complex deliveries, and contribute to shape the strategic direction around data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead solutioning and support on strategic opportunities; intervene in high-risk complex deliveries; contribute to shaping the strategic direction around data architecture.
  
  
• Engage with stakeholders to create technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs of work involving data solutions within Azure, utilizing tools such as Databricks and Fabric.
  
  
• Create design artifacts and present them for approval at architectural forums with multi-disciplinary stakeholders from engineering to senior client executives.
  
  
• Design and deliver large-scale enterprise-grade AI solutions with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
  
  
• Prepare and present complex technical solutions to business decision makers and internal teams; translate solutions into business outcomes; support deal qualification and pricing using standard estimation methods.
  
  

Qualifications / What You’ll Need

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Azure AI Services including Azure ML, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Bot Services; knowledge of similar services in AWS and GCP is highly regarded.
  
  
• Strong understanding of different ML models, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and approaches to train or adapt to meet customer requirements.
  
  
• Programming in Python (required), R, or .NET (highly regarded).
  
  
• Awareness of channels to market and how to work in a Microsoft and partner ecosystem to ensure customer success.
  
  
• High energy and a client-focused mindset, with knowledge of Azure OpenAI, Fabric and Copilot.
  
  
• Experience with Microsoft funding processes such as ECIF, GTM Solution Plays / Marketplace and GTM Workshop Offers.
  
  
• Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions and delivery roadmaps for large programs involving data solutions on Azure, using tools such as Databricks and Fabric.
  
  

About You

• You are passionate about tech and engaging with and advising clients.
  
  
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
  
• Proven experience in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
  
  
• Extensive experience architecting cloud solutions for data estate workloads and delivering large-scale data projects within the cloud.
  
  
• Strong ability to collaborate, resolve conflicts, and lead remote teams with exceptional communication skills.
  
  
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and data migrations.
  
  

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical leadership on client projects, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, and produce design artifacts and roadmaps.
  
  
• Assist clients in adopting Microsoft Azure or optimizing their existing Azure investments, focusing on cloud architectural patterns and migration strategies.
  
  
• Contribute to Avanade’s sales process by shaping high-level designs, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals with other subject matter experts.
  
  
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the Avanade technical community.
  
  
• Translate complex technical solutions for business decision makers and create different formats (video, blogs, battle cards) for internal use.
  
  
• Engage in early conversations with the client/sales team, support origination and deal qualification, and participate in deal reviews, client presentations, and negotiations.
  
  
• Contribute to pricing and modeling to drive quality and efficiency, understand pricing models, and work with Sales to articulate deal pricing and mitigate risks.
