Cundall have been working on various projects from our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia so this is the natural progression for the business, building on long standing relationships and offering the same high standard of multidisciplinary design and consultancy services.
Our Malaysia operations will represent Cundall as our Regional Centre of excellence for Data Centre design, Structures and Building Services.
Our dedicated Power Systems team plays a vital role in designing and delivering major projects at various international locations.
The Power Systems team conducts specialist power studies across all sectors, including Critical Systems teams, focusing on hyperscale data centres, Building Services, and large-scale construction projects throughout the business.
Furthermore, the Power Systems team is expanding into new areas such as large-scale renewables.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and talented Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our pioneer team in Malaysia to work on the design of some of the most exciting projects locally & regionally.
The applicant will require a good working knowledge of ETAP and/or SKM-PTW High.
Medium and Low Voltage systems analysis software.
To be fully conversant in power systems and support / undertake design of grid and consumer substations, design HV and MV systems, and produce detailed design drawings.
Prepares power system analyses (Load flow, short circuit, grading, arc flash, harmonic studies) using specialised software, and writes comprehensive power system reports.
The role will suit someone with existing experience in designing medium voltage distribution systems.
It will involve analysing power plant systems across HV, MV, and LV distribution for data centres and other projects, ranging from plant upgrades to 100MW+ hyperscale developments.
The successful applicant will have the chance to expand their knowledge by working alongside highly technical and supportive colleagues.
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering with a specialisation in power systems is preferred.
You have gained relevant experience in an Electrical Engineering role, ideally within high-voltage design experience.
You have proven experience in detailed coordination with other design disciplines and are well-versed in electrical theory and the use of relevant design software.
You will also be required to coordinate with team resources, including junior engineers and BIM/CAD technicians.
You have proven ability in producing schematic diagrams, fault and discrimination studies, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development, and crucially, you have a passion for accurate design of electrical systems.
Given this role's collaborative and client-focused nature, excellent communication skills and experience in using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
