Key Responsibilities:
1.
Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvement
 - Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and production cycles to improve efficiency.
  - Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and best practices.
  - Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, waste, and non-value-added activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  
2.
Line Balancing & Capacity Planning
 - Design and balance SMT, assembly, and test stations to optimize line efficiency and operator workload.
  - Calculate cycle times, takt time, and throughput rates to meet production targets.
  - Conduct time and motion studies to improve worker efficiency and ergonomic design.
  
3.
Layout Design & Workstation Optimization
 - Design factory layouts, material flow, and workstation ergonomics to maximize space utilization and reduce movement waste.
  - Collaborate with the Automation and Manufacturing teams to integrate automated solutions and robotics.
  - Ensure compliance with 5S, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), and safety standards in the workstation design.
  
4.
Cost Reduction & Resource Optimization
 - Identify cost-saving opportunities by reducing material waste, labor inefficiencies, and cycle time variations.
  - Work with procurement and materials teams to evaluate alternative materials or suppliers for cost-effectiveness.
  - Develop labor and machine efficiency models to support budgeting and cost analysis.
  
5.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support
 - Assist in NPI process development, ensuring smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
  - Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews with engineering teams.
  - Establish first article and pilot run evaluations to validate new processes before full-scale production.
  
6.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing
 - Lead Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, and lean transformation initiatives.
  - Train operators and engineers on Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement techniques.
  - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), FPY (First Pass Yield), and scrap rates for improvement opportunities.
  
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
 - Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  - 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing optimization, or process improvement (preferably in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment).
  
Technical Skills:
 - Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  - Experience with time studies, work measurement, and line balancing.
  - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other factory layout design software.
  - Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for production planning and process control.
  - Knowledge of SMT, PCB assembly, and final product assembly processes.
  
Soft Skills:
 - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes.
  - Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  - Able to communicate in Mandarin (read, write and speak) will be an added advantage for support overseas company.
