The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is a dynamic and accomplished group responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure.

We play a crucial role in creating efficient and automated solutions that enhance performance, scalability, and security.

Get to Know the Role

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Manager for an onsite role based in Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager.

You will lead and inspire a team of engineers to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

In this role, you will take ownership of the team's technical direction, fostering collaboration, and continuous learning.

Your focus will be driving automation, ensuring best practices in infrastructure management, and aligning team efforts with organizational goals.

This role requires leadership, the ability to plan and prioritize, and hands-on technical expertise.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-based systems and applications.
  
  
• Oversee the deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
  
  
• Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, and standards to align with business objectives.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
  
  
• Ensure cloud infrastructure security, compliance, and governance, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  
  

You Have

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  
  
• Hands on development experience with Python, Go, or Typescript.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, including architecture, migration, and deployment.
  
  
• Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  
  
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  
  
• Certification in a cloud platform, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Certified Solutions Architect.
  
  

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Proven expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a deep understanding of their ecosystems and capabilities.
  
  
• A strong drive to lead automation efforts, leveraging scripting and tooling to optimize infrastructure efficiency.
  
  
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and a track record of implementing them effectively.
  
  
• Demonstrated expertise in networking configurations, including VPNs, subnets, and load balancing, with a focus on designing secure and scalable solutions.
  
  
• Solid knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  
  
• Strategic experience in capacity planning, cost analysis, and budgeting for cloud infrastructure, enabling efficient resource utilization.
  
  
• Mentor a team, fostering collaboration and driving innovation.
