Overview

PwC Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manager - RISQ cum QMSE to join the Risk & Quality (RISQ) team within Internal Firm Services.

The RISQ team helps PwC anticipate and manage risk, protect and enhance the PwC brand by delivering quality, risk management and compliance solutions to clients.

As a risk management generalist you will provide advisory and practical support to teams across a wide range of risk and compliance areas.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive mindset to anticipate or detect risk and apply a framework to manage exposure.

  • Provide advice on a range of risk management matters.

  • Assist projects to create, update and improve guidance materials for the practice.

  • Provide support and coaching to more junior team members; project manage various projects, tasks and deliverables related to Quality Management for Service Excellence (QMSE), risk management and quality management compliance.

  • Be proactive in identifying issues, understanding root causes and monitoring remediation actions.

  • Monitor compliance with PwC Network and regional policies and procedures.

  • Liaise with quality review teams from PwC Network, regional RISQ team and regulators.

  • Prepare reports and deliverables on quality management for reporting to stakeholders.

  • Research to acquire knowledge and consult on risk management and quality management procedures.

  • Contribute to risk assessment activities, including identifying risks and evaluating control effectiveness.

  • Support compliance and regulation activities to ensure adherence to applicable laws and industry standards and monitor regulatory changes.

  • Collaborate with engagement teams to assess risks in project scopes and provide risk management training and resources to project teams.

  • Prepare risk reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders and communicate findings clearly.

  • Identify and implement best practices in risk management and stay abreast of industry trends and emerging risks.

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline and/or a professional accounting qualification such as ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ / CPA Australia.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in audit or risk management.

  • Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and business acumen.

  • A willingness to challenge points of view through presenting logical arguments.

  • Good communication and influencing skills with peers and senior individuals.

  • Experience of managing people, workload and individual tasks.
