Job description

Oracle Supply Chain Functional Consultant (39234) Malaysia

Contract: 12 months (highly renewable)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Oracle Supply Chain Functional Consultant who will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing manufacturing and supply chain technology platforms.

The role will involve shaping solutions, executing system configurations, and supporting business‑critical initiatives such as plant growth, automation rollouts, materials handling, and network efficiency improvements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy changes across ERP, planning, manufacturing execution, and logistics systems.

  • Convert functional and solution designs into working system configurations.

  • Validate that configurations meet business processes and compliance standards.

  • Carry out testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth delivery into production.

  • Work closely with analysts, architects, and project leads to ensure integration across systems.

  • Maintain detailed records of configuration activities, updates, and system documentation.

  • Provide hypercare, knowledge transfer, and post‑implementation support.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline system usability, automation, and data accuracy.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Hands‑on experience configuring ERP platforms, ideally Oracle E‑Business Suite or Oracle Cloud (Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, or Warehouse modules).

  • Familiarity with advanced planning applications (o9 APS or similar) is strongly valued.

  • Exposure to MES platforms and third‑party logistics (3PL) integration is advantageous.

  • Experience within highly regulated industries (e.g. medical devices, pharmaceuticals) is beneficial, especially with respect to electronic records and process validation.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and validate complex data sets.

  • Comfortable managing changes in live production environments.

  • Understanding of system landscapes, data dependencies, and system integrations.

Background & Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • Professional certifications related to ERP or planning tools would be an asset.

  • Familiarity with validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ) is a plus.
