R&D Hardware Test Engineer  role at Agilent Technologies

Responsibilities 
- Strategize and develop executable test plans to meet project achievements.
 
 
- Develop test concepts and test cases based on product requirements and specifications to verify the compliance of functionalities, performances, qualities and reliabilities.
 
 
- Execute engineering tests, verification tests, characterizations, cyclic and reliability tests as defined in the test cases.
 
 
- Co-develop hardware test jigs and fixtures with R&D designers and vendors.
 
 
- Lead test result reviews with partners, and compile and write test reports.
 
 
- Handle test documentation to meet process compliance and audit needs.
 
 
- Investigate failures, verify issues, drive debugging and propose resolutions to ensure successful product releases.
 
 
- Communicate and collaborate with diverse and global teams (PM, Marketing/internal customers, Mechanical, Application, Hardware, Firmware, Software, Production engineers) and external teams (suppliers, design partners, contract manufacturers).
 
 
Qualifications 
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited college/university.
 
 
- Typically 6 years of experience in R&D, NPI or Test Engineering.
 
 
- Good knowledge of basic electronic testing methods (DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer) and mechanical testing (positional, cyclic, temperature, humidity, shock, vibration, altitude).
 
 
- Good knowledge of C/C++/C# programming.
 
 Experience with Visual Studio .NET is an advantage.
 
 
- Experience with design/testing of automated equipment, robotics and other instrumentation is an added advantage.
 
 
- Strong organization, planning, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
 
 
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a detailed approach to root cause failure analysis.
 
 
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment, eagerness to learn and ability to work independently.
