The Senior Architect -Cloud Architect will manage Hitachi Energy’s ESS cloud architecture, implement scalable, high performance hosting solutions that meet the need of today’s business and digital applications using both private and public cloud technologies.

Plan and deliver legacy Application transformation and migration to drive next-generation business outcomes.

How you’ll make an impact :

You will design, architect and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions.

You will analyze and document deployment topologies, product architectures, and monitor requirements delivered by development teams.

You will assess and recommend public and hybrid Cloud solutions, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).

You will collaborate closely with security teams to oversee the overall cloud security posture, assess risks and make recommendations to mitigate the security gaps, execute short term strategic consulting projects on Microsoft Azure, assessments, POC/pilots, map solutions to client business processes, and develop value proposition and business cases.

You will provide advice on technical aspects of development and integration, including the operational and maintenance aspects of systems under development, and proposed system recovery procedures.

You will demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, scalability).

You will advise key stakeholders on various Cloud solution options, discuss the benefits and risks of each, and recommend a solution that aligns with the customer's business needs and requirements.

You will be a technical subject matter expert on both cloud and on-premises infrastructure systems and Applications, serve as the escalation point for critical production issues, including performance degradation, outages, and other cloud/application issues related to Hitachi Energy products.

You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or relevant field.

More than 15years of overall experience and 8+ years of solid hands-on experience on various cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Provider (GCP).

Strong experience in cloud architecture, design, and cost optimization/blueprints.

Bash, Python, or PowerShell scripting, prior experience in managing large scale cloud deployments and cloud migrations in Azure, consulting experience with large-scale implementations on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

Experience in Cloud Infra, Networks, Storage, Apps and Azure DevOps, experience with automation and automating application delivery and upgrades, Cloud Cost Optimization & Governance.

Strong analytical and debugging skills across applications, infrastructure, and network layers.

Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, PowerShell DSC, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery.

Proficiency in English communication.
