Overview

The Cloud Solution Architecture role involves gathering customer insights, mapping architecture, and proposing digital transformation solutions based on Microsoft technologies.

The role requires coaching team members to focus on customer experience through efficient delivery, driving adherence to Microsoft standards and recommended practices, and providing a holistic perspective of customer challenges and competitor architectures.

The role is within the Cloud and AI Platform CSA team which is dedicated to enhancing the customer's experience with Microsoft’s Cloud and AI services as they transition to cloud solutions.

We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) specializing in Data to join our Cloud and AI Platforms (CAIP) team.

This role is pivotal in helping customers realize the full value of Microsoft’s data platform, including Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, and AI-powered analytics.

You will work directly with enterprise customers to drive deep usage, accelerate adoption, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Delivers solutions in line with company methodologies (e.g., product offerings, advice, training, technical validation), ensuring proven practices and patterns are followed to prepare complex customers for operational readiness and achievement of their business goals and targets.
  
  Leveraging knowledge of change management proven practices and/or involving the change management team, proactively helps the customer deploy for long-term organizational adoption to increase customer satisfaction and drive consumption/usage.
  
  Guides complex customers/partners towards a well-architected (e.g., secure, resilient, artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled), and cost- and performance-optimized solution to increase retention and expansion opportunities.
  
  
• Being the trusted technical advisor to the customer, prioritizing technical skills growth aligned with our cloud strategy, and infusing technical insight into helping the customer make the right business decisions.
  
  
• Able to apply reference architecture and patterns for a variety of solutions (e.g., advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things, modern business intelligence and analytics, modern applications, data platform modernization, data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics, etc.).
  
  
• Having knowledge of trends, direction, new products, and changes in the technology as it applies to a particular area of focus, as well as specific knowledge about hardware, software, and services.
  
  
• Be accredited and certified to deliver with advanced and expert-level proficiency in priority workloads including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB.
  
  

Customer Centricity

• Proactively identifies and/or translates customer problems into industry solutions aligned with Microsoft product and platform strategy, creates or improves an existing business model, and explains why and/or how they meet customer outcomes and return on investment (ROI) goals (e.g., via proof of concept, minimally viable product (MVP), rapid prototype) relative to competitive offerings.
  
  Proactively helps the customer accelerate their adoption and use of Microsoft product/platform strategy-aligned (cross-solution area) solutions.
  
  Builds relationships with, and provides direction to technical decision makers (TDMs) up to the C-suite level, and builds the bridge between TDMs and business decision makers (BDMs).
  
  Leads and elevates interactions as needed with customers Chief Information Office (CIO) and other C-level (CXO) roles to bridge understanding of security, compliance, operational and risk requirements across BDMs, TDMs, CXO teams, appropriately engaging additional subject matter experts when deeper expertise is required.
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  
  
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud solutions, or consulting.
  
  
• Proficiency in Azure Data Services and/or modern data platforms.
  
  
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and AI-driven analytics.
  
  
• Familiarity with CAF/WAF, data governance, and security best practices.
  
  
• Certifications: Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100), Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300), Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
