Job Responsibilities: -

  • Lead the transformation of payroll processes and systems, driving efficiency, standardization, and automation in organization.

  • Develop and execute a payroll transformation strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to gather payroll requirements and define payroll transformation initiatives.

  • Assess current payroll processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices and streamlined workflows.

  • Manage and coordinate payroll system implementations, including vendor selection, project planning, and system configuration.

  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and statutory requirements.

  • Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring consistency and compliance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate payroll systems with HRIS, time and attendance systems, and other relevant platforms.

  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Tax teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting.

  • Lead payroll data migration and cleansing activities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in the new payroll systems.

  • Develop and deliver payroll training programs to HR, Finance, and Payroll teams to enhance knowledge and ensure adherence to payroll processes and procedures.

  • Monitor and report on payroll performance and metrics, identifying trends and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met and escalations are addressed promptly.

  • Stay updated with payroll trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in payroll processes.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with payroll controls and regulations.

  • Job Requirements: -

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications in payroll or project management are beneficial.

  • Proven experience in a similar role or payroll transformation project, leading payroll transformation initiatives.

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, systems, regulations, compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging trends.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage complex payroll transformation projects.

  • Experience in managing payroll vendors and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and their integration with payroll systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex payroll transformation challenges.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and priorities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
