Key Responsibilities
- Technical Oversight: Ensure all work performed on-site, including equipment installation, adheres to project engineering requirements and approved drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and verify that project standards, specifications, and procedures are followed to meet project quality requirements.
To work closely with QA/QC inspectors.
- Site Management: Supervise daily field operations, coordinate with construction teams, and manage various stages of the construction process.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to project safety regulations and protocols, identify critical safety-related issues, and actively contribute to risk analysis sessions.
- Planning and Scheduling: To manage interdependence with other disciplines and to ensure timelines are met
- Documentation & Reporting: Oversee the completion of construction dossiers and check sheets, ensuring proper documentation of mechanical completion for each subsystem.
- Troubleshooting: Identify technical problems on site and prepare technical queries for Engineering for prompt resolution
- Liaison and Communication: Coordinate with other engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, implement strategies to enhance efficiency and safety, and contribute to ongoing project development.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., civil, tankage, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) with a strong understanding of engineering principles and strategies.
- Experience : 10 years’ working experience within oil & gas / petrochemical industries.
Experience working at construction sites is an added advantage.
- Problem-Solving: Possess strong analytical skills to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience working in an integrated project team is an advantage.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in challenging and diverse field environments, often in remote locations.
- Leadership: Capability to lead and motivate construction and field teams to achieve project goals and maintain high operational standards
- Safety Focus: A commitment to maintaining rigorous safety standards and practices.
